Was at the training center and they had two new G56 transmissions on a pallet. They looked about the same size as the 5600, but all aluminum. They were still pretty heavy, so the gears must be massive just like the 5600. They will not be teaching the class for a while, so looks like we won't be seeing the insides for a while. The snout inside the bell housing seemed long, and it appears the slave cylinder goes in from the outside on the drivers side. The two wheel drive trans has a bolt on rear flange, and of course the 4x4 has a splined output shaft just like the others.
