Uh... still relatively new to the diesel world and TDR so I am missing your point. What is your point? It looks like some young kid went overboard on the accessories to me. While I would never accessorize my truck to such a degree... this owner obviously thinks it is super cool. More power to him or her. That is his or her right I would think.

So... I dont understand why I have to say "goodbye to my diesel". (?):confused:

I think that, maybe, the saying goodbye to your diesel is somewhat of a comical way of making a sarcastic jab at the guy that tricked out his killer 1/2 ton gasser.

Honestly... it is a bit embarrassing just to even look at it, let alone to drive it.

right on dave

All That looks pretty gaudy, and I BET it's a HEMI.

Best part is that fellow STILL with all he has done to that truck has a big-time case of CUMMINS ENVY.

rx7pat... where are you? This thing reminds me of many wannabees I have seen from Montana and some backwoods others from the PNW. I suppose it could be a redneck. . But it looks to well put together, no scavenging, or abuse.

Heck with an awesome tow rig like that monster diesel will become obsolete. :-laf

Actually, with all that added weight, it probably needs a train to get it going. What a turd.

home depot la mirada in so cal not a hemi I really want one of those 5th wheels

Hah! Jeez guys... . I feel pretty dumb. .... . should have picked up on that but how was I supposed to know it was a gasser from that pic? Probably another dumb question. :-laf:eek: but I am slowly learning.

I wonder if all of those air horns function? If so, I'd hate to be caught off guard when he/she lets loose with them.

Don't worry. You probably aren't familiar with the Dodges of that era, but the diesel wasn't offered in the 1500 on a 2nd gen platform. Thank God. The Cummins is too heavy. And those cheesy wheels only fit the 1500. Rx7pat said it was a 1500 in the caption.

But don't sweat it, I miss stuff in post all the time.

IF it was a 2500 or a 3500, and the frame was a bit longer AND it had one of those flatbeds AND a hitch it PROBABLY would'nt look as ridiculous. Overkill, yeah, but stupid? Maybe not.

Thanks TJ. Hey RX7Pat; I was wondering what size air compressor he had or air tank that would produce enough volume to power all those air horns? That would be illegal in PA (everything else is too):-laf

my daughters date wouldn't be my daughters date anymore pulling in in that thing. Unless it was a joke, then I would think he was histerical! :-laf ... However she still better be home by 10!!! " ain't afraid to go back to prison "

You have to consider the source, "La Mirada, CA", I used to live in Whittier which is next to La Mirada. There is a big swap meet at the I5 & Alondra Blvd and you can buy all of those gaudy things. You can always tell if an immigrant is from mexico, they buy 15 year old trucks or older and then attach that crap, and then drive it real proud. But usually it is just fender flares, and chrome bottom strips with "MEXICO" cut out in the middle of the strip, I'm not prejudice, just stating facts.
