harbor freight has a trans jack for $139. 00. it is 800lb cap and lifts to 24". it has tilts in all directions and caster wheels.

do you think this will do the job?

That should work as long as you want to own and store a transmission jack when you are done. I rented one for about $40 when I did mine. BTW, I left the transfer case attatched to the transmission and it saved some time and effort. I've done a LOT of clutches and this was one of the easier ones.

its e-z the hole job only took about 6 hours by myself

im gonna do mine this week after x-mas. did you guys take off both drive shafts to start the project to get them out of the way.

yep pull rear shaft out and disconect the front one at the transfercase and wire/tie rap it to the frame
