Never heard of this until today. Locals brought us scallops.

Was going to fry them up in a pan but they told us to do them on a hot dog stick over the coals.

All I can say is "Wow!"
The flavor is incredible

Pictures won't upload, will get them on tomorrow. Besides my scallops are ready...

There, took some data but I did it.

Perfection on a paper plate. I could not believe how good they were.

Had to ask, when I first moved to Az. I asked where I could get a good cheese steak. They asked if that was a t bone on bread and never heard of cheese steak. When in Vermont I asked about pork roll and they never heard of it, tasty cake same thing. It is amazing how food changes regionally. Probably should have opened a cheese steak facility here when I found out Arizonians had no what it was.

Don't start that one about BBQ, ain't enough Ones and Zero's to cover that argument.

BTW, my favorite lunch BBQ was just on the west side of OKC kinda heading to Stockyard City, smoked ribs. It set the new benchmark. So far lived in OH, OK, TN and SC three of those really cook some Q but if its over gas in any way, its just cooked pork.

There's only a few left over from last night and I think as soon as the fire goes to coals they will be scarfed up....

Also learned that scallops harvested in the fall are firmer which gives then a better texture....we were given fall scallops from the freezer...

So either they really like us or its an easy way to clean out the freezer....:D

We eat well while on vacation, this morning's really nice bacon I cooked up...Yum!
