SCHEID Cam installed in 04.5....Results

Recently I purchased a "machined street cam" from Kent Crowder@ Scheid Diesel for my 04. 5.

Scheids it seems is the only company marketing a cam for the 3rd gens at this moment to the best of my knowledge.

Piers may be selling 3G cams, even though they're not listed on his website. I know he put one of his cams in his 04. 5 and saw about a 3mpg improvement and significant EGT reduction.



He says the cam timing on the 600s is retarded by 6-7 degrees



I've always been a believer in a cam, and I'm glad to see some going into the newer trucks. It appears they're very beneficial for the HPCR motor especially the 600-up trucks.
