I was opening gifts this past Christmas morning and there was a envelope from my wife I opened it and there was a page printed from the Scheid’s web page showing the Corsa data acquisition system and IntelliDash. I was like what the heck is this? My wife said that the system was on sale for the month of December and she was authorizing/allowing me what ever you want to call it, to purchase it (she is a keeper). I think I called Kent the minute they were open after the Holiday’s before she could change her mind. Anyway Kent built the system sent it to me and at the time I was involved with several other mods and didn’t get the time to install it until late June. Scheid’s has this sweet pressure sender block they send out with kit and it allows the high dollar electrical stuff to remain in the cab while leaving the high pressure lines in the engine compartment. It was best to just remove the whole heating/ac system so the install was way easier and cleaner. Any way you guy’s known me so here are some pictures.

Where did you get the panel for the air locker switches?

I have six switches in the panel they are the Contura Rocker switches same ones ARB uses they a freaking awesome and sealed as well. You can line up as many switches as you want they interlock and then add panel end change the switch cover color or even light color as well. There good size for fat fingers too :G

VERY slick install, Scott. Its good to see more folks running data acquisition systems. The fine tuning that is possible from running them is unreal. It's a lot of hard work to install the system, run the vehicle, interpret the data and make changes to the tune - but it's all worth it in the end.



When will diesel truck pullers begin logging ground speed data? We seem to follow some other trends set by the gasser truck pullers... not that this is a bad thing.

I thought there were guy's reading ground speed already, my be it was Tomac not sure. I have the engine RPM and a sensor for the shaft speed (not installed yet) I guess to determine clutch slipage, but ground speed would be neat

Ground speed?



El cheapo GPS unit will do that for ya. I usually clear my "max speed" and stick it in my pocket when I go and ride my wheeler...

Scott---I can't log on--I don't have a log on button---there's a log out button, but it does nothing when I press it--I go to my account and type in the info and it says the email address is in use---when I go to a thread it says your account isn't activated... follow email directions--which I've done a hundred times---still no go---I just emailed him again in reply to his email today---I don't know--I'm jinxed---got a hot rod vp coming tomorrow, but not sure when I'll get it installed---been working up in Clear Lake and I'm running ragged---not going to make Turlock I'd bet--have fun----sorry for the story---chris

This looks like a sweet data logger but why can't the logger and the sensors be mounted under the hood? Are the sensors and logger temperature sensitive?

In most automotive applications the sensors are mounted directly to the item being sensed.

You can mount them were ever you want, this just provides a little more protection I guess. I had to put a fire out two weeks ago with halon under the hood, glad the stuff is were it is in that instance. Basically the stuff aint cheap so why not protect the investment if possible.
