Scheid has a 5. 9 Cummins in their puller. The DT466 lost by plenty :-laf . .

The Scheid truck is awesome, and it did rule the night.

I think the DT466 could have done a lot better, though. It sounded to me like he had a gnarly miss in the motor.

What was up with BBD? Looked like he was having a hard night, stopped mid-pull and something broke on the sled? Or did the sled break and they gave him a red flag?

the black widow took 1st in the 8500lb street class by a pretty good margin and 2nd in pro class--he was beat by a duramax(John Hamlin of DPS) --in the exhibition the black widow got beat by psychostroker

BBD had some electrical problem--fuel solenoid is my guess as his truck would just shut down for no reason at all--

psychostroker tried to run a ton of NOS in the pro class, but in the exhibition he got it dialed in--

the 466 didn't get the turbos to light--but that happens sometimes

all in all though Kent's hook was impressive and the black widow is a mean running ford no doubt--

it was good to meet and talk to these guys---chris

Thanks for up dating everyone Chris. No mid or east coast trucks won the pro class event, a west coast Duramax won. I won with a pull of 287' in the pro class, I put about 20' between myself and the black widow. I got 3rd in the exhibition class with a 269' I believe, not that that is saying much against the 466's 298' and sheids 319'. We dont have a class on the west coast for trucks that are built like theirs so they created The Exhibition class. I'm sure someone will post the full results soon. Thanks, John

John that was a nice pass!Jake nice pic of Tim and me ,Just wished the slicks would have fit!It was a great time and was a blast to see the Scheid guys!Great to see Frank made it again this year. just wished those turbos would have spooled up. I hope Craig puts some more pulls on again,it was fun to pull even if it was just Betty and me in the 2wd class. We did not do to bad for both of us running bald street tires!

A GREAT BIG THANKS to Craig and all the sponsers and people who helped to make this event come together! :D

..

Jake: Thanks for posting a picture of our teams' 98' silver race truck, the owner isn't a TDR member so maybe now he can get a little exposure. By the way, #2 only in the mid 12's  2598 ft. elevation. . wait til we tune it some more and add the bottle. .

CSutton7:It was good to see ya again after 3 years of being gone. . we missed you on Sunday . . take care.

John@DPS:Thanks for setting up a really cool show man. . and being so social towards everyone. . not many vendors seem to put alot of effort into being nice to people these days

Catoiler:Mike. . it was also great to visit with you as well. . that ol' 05' can get it on,it needs an auto trans, and a front axle and you would be a tough competitor with it. . hope the bed gets fixed soon... dern' low goosenecks :(

back at ya Greg--also I can't thank you and Adam enuff--wish I could have met more guys, but I was runnin a little slow on SAT and decided to get out of town early Sunday--chris

I was there, the turbos did light on the 466 and were snuffed out towards the end of the pull (like so many) by the sled/track etc.

 (shoulda, coulda, woulda)

Trucks having a "gnarly miss" is not reason for alarm. That is the nature of the beast in a MOD class type motor (fuel del timing, cam, compression etc. )

Any more excuses why the DT466 FORD got beat..... lets hear them now... :{ :{ :-laf

Maybe next year we can give that truck a handicap so it can be competitive with SCHEIDS. :-laf

yea they tried to light, but they didn't stay that way--but like I said above things don't always work like you want--I'm not ditching anyone--

Scheid's truck runs awesome, no doubt about it--but when you travel to these events all one really hopes for is that everyone can lay down there best shot--but hey that's the way things work and why we do this--chris

I don't care who won, that DT466 runs dern hard. The turbos did'nt comepletely light, if they did who knows, who cares. That truck was extremely impressive, I am glad I was there to see it run.

I am also glad to have seen the Scheid truck run as well, definately the coolest truck I have ever seen.

Brian Bunting's 7. 3 kicked some serious ***!!!

Thanks for the pics, I feel pretty cool to have my truck posted on here.

Yep, we got Stomped  your a joker !!!!

BBD

"BBD" truck runs awesome and had it stayed running my money would have been on him to win. Yep the Scheid truck runs awesome, but you need to wake up jwilliams if you think a Scheids 5. 9 Cummins can come even close to the power of a built DT466. Franks 466 had problems and he lost, and Scheids truck pulled awesome and it won. :D

It was great seeing all of you there! I'd like to thank Craig Johnson for putting on a great event, and Bernie (LACR owner) for allowing us to smoke out his track.

Yeah, Brian's Black Widow 7. 3 truck can really lay it down. My wife was running the 8500lb class in her stock engine Dmax against him. She had made a mistake in 7500lb, and was really nervous as it was her first event. Once Brian did the 299' pull, I tell Kat, "See? Now you can relax. You are not going to catch that guy, so just have fun!" And she did! She outpulled all the Dodges and other Fords and the Dmaxes as well at 268'8" with her daily driver on it's street tires. No suspension mods, no front locker, no engine work. And she tech'd at 7480lb for the 8500lb class.

The Scheid Truck is unreal. That is a first class outfit. Congrats out to them!

MADDOG,

I think your the one that needs to wake up.

If you knew you anything, you would know that Franks DT466 has always lost to Scheids truck (explain that one?)

I have seen Franks DT466 supposedly make a good run and it was only about 30' ahead of a certain KY street struck. I think someone needs to go back to the drawing board and do a little more homework (maybe truckwork!).

If you guys had a good powertrack going, which that wasnt (but it was good for CALI). Scheids probably would have put 50' on Frank instead of 20'. Maddog, where was your 800hp rig at for the pulls?

As far as knowing a DT466 makes more power, that is a given.

We have plenty of Prostocks and Superstock tractors running that engine back here. I get to see them pull all the time. But thanks for the education.

A DT466 built the RIGHT way can make 3000hp with one turbo.

Its nice to hear more excuses why it didnt win though.

:)

PS BBD, I know your truck can run better than what it did. But you did get beat (I thinks its time to get rid of those airbags!)
