Caravan from Austin to the Texas Rally?

We'll be in Terre Haute for the weekend and was wandering if anyone had anything planned. I would enjoy meeting some of you.

DOC! Looking forward to meeting you and some of GLTDR. Just made my reservations for the Terre Haute KOA. Water/Elec hookup -- no more Full Hookups available. Anyone planning on RV'ing there you'd better call now.

WooHoo! Can't wait. Trying to get in the truck pull but having second thoughts about it... da clutch boss, da clutch! Don't want to get stranded 700 miles from home.

I just found out a couple of days ago that I could have the time off. (Two people moved their vacations for me). Now to figure out where to stay #ad
Sounds like a good excuse to buy a "truck tent" doncha think?

I will be there both days.

I was also invited to the #ad
rally but it is only a one day even and its a 15 to 16 hour drive to Temple for me. Terre Haute is only gonna be 8 to 10 hours. So it makes more sense for me to attend the two day event. Although theres a bunch of Texas boys I would like to meet, as well as Scott being down there.

Also Doug Hatfield is trying to get the time off work as well but not sure if he is coming yet.

@(&^#!@(*#^ !!!!!

Driving home last night I punched the throttle to 'test' my clutch, I hear vroooommm but no giddyup. It's official, the clutch is toast. One Stock, One Dual Friction Centerforce, who's up next?

Oh well, looks like no sled pull for me. Don't want to break in a new clutch with that kind of weight! You other Diesel Heads are going to have to defend the honor of our beloved Cummins! Maybe I'll just do the drags instead?

Welp just reserved myself a room at the luxurious Pear Tree Inn. I have two room sreserved (One for me and one for Doug Hatfield) sure hope he can go, hes on vacation right now so I just reserved two)

Are we there yet? #ad

#ad
Hope to se ya`ll soon.
Mark, just put some duct tape on your old clutch, it will hold, duct tape will hold anything. #ad

BULLWAGON:

Sorry for the delay in getting back to
you. We will be at the "Pear Tree Inn. "
Thats IF Hurricane Florence doesn't hit
us in the next few days!

I've been through four (4) hurricanes
here in S. E. North Carolina since 95.
(Hurricanes: Bertha, Fran, Bonnie and
Floyd).

Believe me I would rather be at the
Rally!!!

Hope to see you soon!

Guys,

Big Don here, I'll be bringin' Ol' Blue up to the rally. Sounds like alot of you 2nd gen guys will be there. Also A friend of mine will be coming up with us and he is driving ( please don't throw rocks when you see us) his 99 Flower Poke. He put a 70 hp chip in it and thinks it's pretty bad. We just want to have fun. He is a ford guy, but ain't ate up with it. After seeing my Dodges, he now wishes he'd bought the Cummins cause it's expensive to start playin with the PowerJokes.

We're statin at the post motel, drivin up from Tennessee
later
Don

-----Questions I have-----
1. Do you have to be pre registered?
2. Is anyone staying at the fairgrounds?
3. Will you not pick on me for having a stock
'92 dodge?
4. Are we going to have fun or what?

No you don't have to be pre-registered but don't forget to do it. And then be sure to vote for the Show & Shine Contest. Only registrants can vote and only voters can win the cash prizes they're giving away Saturday. #ad
I think they have over 100 trucks registered so far (all makes) and they're be more than that for sure.

I hope my truck gets delivered to the dealer this week so I can bring it otherwise I'll just be drooling at everybody elses, I'll have to borrow one of my daughters bibs. #ad

If I don't pre register how much will it be to get in the gate per person and with that price, Do I get to go to the drags and pulls? If not how much extra? Thanks for answering my stupid #ad
questions. . hehe

If your wanting to register at the gate it is still $30 and you get one ticket to the tractor pull Saturday night. I believe entry to the truck pulls is free unless you want to pull. The spectator admission to the drags is $7. 00.

If your coming and not registering to get in the gate is free and admission to the truck pull is free (I think) but you pay to get into the Tractor pull and drags.

My truck showed up at the dealer yesterday hope to pick up by tomorrow so I can bring it to the rally. Maybe I can win a prize for the truck witht fewest miles on it. #ad

I found out last night that Scheid Diesel is taking donations to get into the truck pull. All donations will be given to the Shriners Foundation.
