Schied Diesel Extravaganza Diesel Drags!

Saturday August 24th at the Action Dragway, Terre Haute IN. This is the first annual race after a few "warm up" years of test and tunes. Two classes: autos and manuals trophies to the winner and runner up in each class. Dan really wants to provide us with want we want: RACING! Well, he has pulled through for us with this one.

Gates open at 8:00 am schedule will be provided then. Let's show Scheid what we can do!

Haven't decided if I'm gonna go down Friday night or Saturday morning. Don't know about the drags though. A basically stock 24v wouldn't be too impressive.

I'm staying at the KOA in Terre Haute along with some of the others. Going to try and make all the pulls and go watch Eric (Stack'd-n-Jack'd) tear up the dragstrip.

I just talked the wife into going IF I can find a camp site. Anyone know where a camp site is close to the event ? Also anyone else coming from Muskegon/Grand Rapids area what to convoy ?

I think Scheid's site said something about camping on the fairgrounds for $10/night, in case you're interested in that. I still haven't decided if I'm pulling the camper down or doing the hotel thing, but I'll be there for Friday.

Looks like I'm not going to be there. I got my arm twisted into going to Sivler Lake sand dunes instead. The weather looks a little iffy either place.

Nothing happening on Sunday... . the Scheid event is Friday and Saturday only. I think they'd get better attendance if it was Saturday & Sunday, but my opinion don't count. Most of us plan accordingly every year and have vacation time lined up for Friday.

Thanks Briar Hopper. The trouble is I'm self employed and it is hard to get away. My nephew is a city maintenance worker and will try to get away with me.

Oh gosh, I'm sick. My breath ( both ends ) smells like diesel. My head has a clattering sound in it. I'm going to take the day off and see this doctor in Tere Haute.
