After recent fuel system repairs, I have decided to install a fuel pressure gauge. Where is the most accurate reading going to be taken? Or am I going to get the same reading at both places? Tapping the schrader is supposed to be a lot easier, but ease is not my concern. Anyways, just wanted to know what you all think.

It is my preference to monitor fuel pressure right at the inlet to the VP44. After all, that is the reason I got a pressure gauge in the first place. I change my fuel filter often enough that unless I get a bad load of fuel, filter clogging won't be a problem. And if I did happen to have a clogged filter than my gauge would alert me anyways.

Having a pressure gauge mounted pre-filter will give you the most accurate output of the LP, but you have no idea what your VP44 is really getting.

Before I got my Max Flow Kit installed, I had my pressure gauge hooked up to a decored schrader ( 1/8" port after decore )

thanks for the input guys. Does geno's stock a de-cored schrader for this application, or a ready to go, all parts included kit?

Your truck already has a schrader valve on it, if you want to use that valve you just decore it youself.

I bought my Max Flow Kit from Wildcat Diesel. It came with all the parts needed to do the swap. It had new fittings to completely remove the banjo's ( best way to go in my opinion ) and 3/8's S. S. braided hose to go from LP to filter, and from filter to VP44. It also had a 3/8's rubber hose to go from stock hard line to LP. All you have to do is assemble the compression fittings, and cut your hoses to the right length. It also has one tapped fitting for a 1/8" FP fitting. That sounds simple, but doing it was a little harder for me. Since I'm a novice.
