I am currently getting my fuel pressure readings form the Schrader valve on the VP-44. My question is, is there a Schrader valve on the fuel filter housing? I am not near my truck so i have no way to look right now, but i was wondering if there is one on the filter housing that is suitable for use as a fuel pressure source and if so, i am guessing a snubber would not be needed since its not at the VP-44?.

I have an 01' auto 2500. Thanks,

I thought there was a schrader valve at the output of the fuel filter, unless I misread a bunch of posts. Could be wrong. Planned

on putting mine on that Schrader valve, either pre or post filter, when my gauge finally gets here from Geno's in order to leave the one at the VP44 for the DC weenies to test from if/when that becomes necessary.

Also, thought the snubber was for dampening vibrations FROM the VP44, and was utilized when your sender was not remote

mounted, or there was no sender in the picture.

Switch Banjo Bolts

Hey Will,

How have you been???:)

For what you want to do, the easiest and least expensive(FREE) thing to do is swap the banjo bolt that has the Schrader valve in it from the VP44 to the bottom of the Fuel Filter housing. Just be sure to not loose any of the sealing washers in the process.

Hope this helps...

EMDDIESEL, yes there is a shrader valve on the inlet of the fuel filter housing. I have tapped into that one and the one at the VP44. I had to remove the 'valve core' first. I'm going to two senders then to a switch on the A-pillar then to the Dakota Digital guage so I can check pressure before and after the filter.
