i dont have the turbo with me right now. its at a shop i could get a godd deal on it.

I have called around and no one really knew what i was talking about for some reason or they only knew part numbers.

so i found out that they dont go by ar numbers anymore. it has a 138 stamped on the ex housing and on the inside of the exhaust inlet. anyone know?

Forest: were would it be stamped on? it would be on the inlet to the exhaust right? if so it said 138. unless it said 1. 38 but i dought it. it is for a l10 cummins i belive.

also, if it is to big could i put a different exhaust housing on it? sorry for all the questions. just trying to find a turbo that will fit my budget.

its a T-4 flang

he said i could get it for $400 bucks so i was hoping it would work. mabey im just dreaming:rolleyes:

hopefully i can get down there and get some pics. i wish i had some as well!

I can't begin to tell you how much money I've spent in my life trying to save money... I won't say WASTED because I learned something every time.

it sounds like it could very well be a 1. 32 A/R housing. and I'm betting it's got a 65mm turbine wheel.

so, if you get the turbo for $400 and it happens to be a 62/65, all you'd need is a turbine housing for it, and then you're bolt-on and go. But, you have to consider what a turbine housing is going to cost you.

You could come in around $700-800 when it's all said and done. Not bad, but not out of line for a good used 62 that's already a known entity.

I may have a solution for ya... I'll PM you about it shortly

i think im getting confused here on turbo sizes and ect. tell me if im getting this right.

Compressor= the front or intake side of the turbo.

turbine= exhaust side of the fins or blages.

A/R= size of the turbing housing (and there are different ways to measure it besides A/R... right?)
