I have a couple of options for my Scout. First, is the IH 304 just waiting for the machine shop to do some very minor work and the reinstall into the truck.
Second, I have a complete Pontiac 455CI motor complete. It needs the carb rebuilt, plugs, wires, cap and rotor, and a coil. Also needs an oil change since the oil in it has been there for 14 years.
Of course, my first choice is a Cummins 4BT, but since I can't seem to get the money for that, and I still am wanting that built V8 gas engine w/cam & headers sound sometimes, I just can't make up my mind.
So, if I put the 455 in it, can I bolt up a 700R4 and 205 or 208 tcase? What are my options with the 455? The trans in it now is a Borg Warner unit that's stock I think.
