Hah! My KDP has been screwed:p. It was a really easy job with John "Da man" Strenkowski's jig kit. It takes a little longer than changing shocks but way easier and less stressful. Took me 2 hours and that was with a cherry coke break in between. I did do alot of studying and reading the instructions over the last 2 weeks to make sure I had it down. I did not have an air supply so I did the constant rotating engine method. Glad it's over, now I can get on to the 3000 GSK's and my exhaust brake. A big thank you to everyone involved with the KDP info and in getting a kit. And a BIG BIG BIG! Mahalo to John for creating such a great and easy to use kit ;) .

For those putting off a jig fix for lack of an air compressor I've found that a vacuum cleaner on blow with the hose duct taped to the oil fill spout, blowby plugged works just as good as a compressor. No danger of blowing out gaskets either.

10-4 got smoke, don't worry I didn't forget:) , and good idea illflem, simple idea wish I'd thought of that. Well I got one battle scar today because I had to manually crank the engine over. While I was under there taking the barring tool out, it slipped and nailed me, and I do mean nailed! me in the right jaw bone:{ , didn't even know those 4 letter words could be said in so many fashions. Nothing like a heavy tool falling on your face.
