Screwed? AFE PG7....

I think I already know the answer from checking the web but can somone confirm that my "I'm so proud of myself great e-bay deal" on an AFE ProGuard 7 Stage 1 intake is in fact a f**k-up?



I got kit No. 75-10411 which I now believe will not fit the '04. 5 600 and instead I need 75-10631. Is this correct? :{





If so..... who would like to buy a brand new still in the box 75-10411???

so what is the correct application for that part #?

The one you've got is for a 03-04, i put that model on my 04. 5 befor they came out with the proper one, just trim 3/4 of an inch off around top, works fine.

I bought the 10631 kit last September and it still was not the correct air box for the 04. 5 600. It was labeled specifically for the 04. 5 600. I did not find that out until finished with install and closed the hood. The only difference is the height, it fits without the noise blanket. I could have returned it, grond off the 3/4 of an inch or cut slits in the noise blanket. I chose to cut slits in the noise blanket. Seemed the quickest, without removing. I dusted the top of the rubber seal with powder, closed the hood. This marked exactly where to cut slits. 10 minutes later I was done.

Thanks very much - that saves a few pennies. Just to be clear, all it wants is 0. 75" grinding off around the top of the surround (maybe a few mm to be sure) refit the foam surround and Bob's my uncle?



Rick - Very nice rig and the Di Prical gauges look great - match up with the OEM ones very nicely.

I just scored it with a cutoff wheel and snapped it off, then ground it down smooth, set it in place and just close you hood slowly for the first time to check clearance.
