Canadian Restrictions!!!!!

Not sure where to ask this - but we're going to take a short vacation - about a week - and be in and around Banff for a few days. Will NOT be towing - tenting and moteling due to time - have never been in this area - recommendations for example----

1. Will be driving back to be in Seattle - Mariners game - and wonder if anybody has driven HWY 1 from Revelstroke to Kamloops and OR down the Okanagan Valley cutoff on Hwy 1 at Sicamous to Kelowna, Penticton down and back the North Cascade Hwy?

2. Must see things - and I know there are a million - ANY good places to EAT etc... .

THanks

Couple of weeks ago we traveled to Kelowna area to nuy a new fifth wheel. My first trip to that area and we enjoyed scenery, good restaurants and clean motels. Roads south out of the Okanagon valley are 2 lane and a little congested on the weekends.

Enjoy the trip!:) :)

I noticed your Les schwab tires, how do you like, as my wife been having them do the snow tires and wheels on ours, as there a lot of ice at times on Mt Norway, we live on gravel road toward the backside near the summit.

North Cascade Hwy from the Okanogan to Mt Vernon is a long slow trip in the summer, plan on at least 6 hours. Washington Pass overlook is incredible, don't miss it. Winthrop has a bunch of cool restaurants and is an interesting town. US 97 in the Okanogan is a training area for the WA St Patrol, don't speed, they will nail you. Can 1 is four lane much of the way and a breeze. I used to cruise to Banff from Chelan quite often, easy one day trip.
