PS

I drove by the track today to see if they were running and saw a white ext cab CTD, i thought it had a TDR sticker on it??? Was it one of us????

I was in the yellow 04 GTO. Sorry but the truck was at home with the race car trailer hooked to it.

Since we got rained out yesterday I'm going to Stanton (Mid michigan motorplex) today. I'll get there around noon if anyone else shows up. My truck will be parked behind the grandstands with a small flatbed behind it. I'll be on the green Kawasaki with wheelie bars.

Mid Michigan is a very nice track, Lapeer is a good place to test but if you like to race it's a joke. Since it's only 10 miles away i will go there today.

Should be fun holding onto that bike today Steve, just a little windy

Maybe we will have to do a GTG at Stanton next year, sound like it's more central located for everyone. All though i have a Dyno 1 mile West and a drag strip 10 miles East. Not a bad place to live. :D

I wonder how off my times will be driving into a 25mph head wind.

Never had this car to the track, she's brand spankin new 1800 miles, going to break it in right.

Lousy Weather,

Well with the rain-out on saturday, I didn't get all the had-to-do projects done on saturday, so I had to spend Sunday getting them done, so I didn't get to the track in Lapeer either day. But I had some help [thanks Curtis] and got a few things done that I had been procrastinating on forever.

Next weekend at the 131 track at Martin Michigan there are a bunch of non-TDR diesel truck guys getting together on Saturday, Diesel only. I was told they bought the track for the afternoon. !!!

I'll try to verify and find out what we would have to contibute towards the track, and what time it is supposed to happen.

Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

Joe, did you get to run the new car??

Maybe during the winter, when we are all sick of snow we can have a GTG at my shop out of the weather??

Take care guys, Greg L

You can say that again! I made 5 runs before I decided "this is nuts" and packed up. I kept having to get out of it to put the front tire on the ground so I could steer because the wind was blowing me all over. I was pointed at the wall more than once. I got in one semi-decent pass and my trap speed was down by 5 mph because of the wind. It was just a TAD cold too! Oh well - two weekends left of the season, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Man was it windy and cold at the track today. Good news was that there were very few car there. I made 15 passes in the GTO. She ain't new anymore :D Best run was a 13. 80 @ 102. 2 MPH. Bone stock with a 20 MPH head wind. Gota be happy with that. Only problem with the car is that the independent rear suspension loves to wheel hop.

Steve i hear ya about the wind. A friend of mine brought his sons Yamaha Raptor 660 4 wheeler and i was the only one stupid enough to race it.

I almost blew off the track. Major wheelie action in the first three gears also.

No thanks, never again.

The only bummer of the day was that there were no diesels running :(

All i need is for Greg to sponsor me a DTT trans and the CTD is ready to go.
