Sea Breeze? Good or Bad?

I have never owned a 5th wheel RV but am looking. I came across a 36' SeaBreeze triple slide which looks like a decent deal. I like the interior more than most others ive seen and looks well done from the pictures. I ofcourse will go have a first hand looksee for myself if you guess don't have many bad opinions for this brand.



Fit and finish is key and would hope to have it a while with regular maintenance. BTW its a 99' model year. Thanks again in advance for your knowledge.

I looked at SeaBreeze when I bought my 5er. I liked their looks and interior. However, they were too expensive for me plus they were very heavy as I recall. A 36' 5er will weigh a ton. Your 3500 ought to handle it. Might end up a little overweight, but nowadays, who isn't. Good luck!

is seabreeze the model or brand name? if the manufacturer is national rv, located in perris, ca. , they make pretty good stuff. there toy haulers are about the best on the market imho. they had a seabreeze 5th wheel line in the past but i think it was discontinued in 04. i hope this helps a little.

bikemike has a great point. go to www.rv.net it is a huge and very active rv forum much like what tdr is to the ctd. they have a specific menu there for 5th wheels as well.

I have the exact trailer you are asking about. The one with the center Island with the sinks. I have had 3 fifth wheels in the past and here is my thoughts. Seabreeze is a good trailer as far as in side components(woodwork,countertops,shades,faucets) and well built. They are heavy as a whole. The 3- axels are a must. Tows great behind my 3500.

The only problem that I see is that the seals around the slides do not seal that well. If you are going to spend alot of time in cold climates,Look for a trailer built in Indiana. They seem to be built for the cold better. Same goes for the air conditioner. They only have one and it works but not as well as some with 2. I have lived in mine full time since new and no problems. Also be aware that they had a recall on the 5th wheel part coming of the trailer. It is welded and they had to modify it (bolts I think) under a NTSB directive. Free to have repaired. Very happy with mine. I have towed it all over the U. S. due to work and everything is holding up so far. Good luck
