I did not know where else to go for help. I am a TDR member and for some reason when I am in the forums and I hit the “search this forum” button, I get sent to the bottom of the screen, and it does not allow me to search. I was trying to search the old posts so I would not have to ask a questions that has already been asked. I made sure I was logged in and I do not know what else could be wrong. ALso, when I go to the main search page, I get an error message when I try to search. Thanks

You have a problem with Javascript on your PC. Most likely you have an anti-virus or inernet security package that is restricting Javascript. Look through the settings on your security software and look for anything related to Javascript and try temporarily disabling it.

Well, I am running Norton Antivirus 2004 and it has scriptblocking. I disabled the scrip blocking and I still cannot search the forums. Any other ideas? I appreciate the help.

Search temp fix

I have the same problem. Try this. At the bottom right of each page is a box marked forum jump. Drop down window and click on Search forums close to the top in the heading marked site areas. Works for me. R C

I've been having problems searching too, but its a different error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 129 bytes) in /www/turbodieselregister.com/htdocs/forums/search.php on line 844

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 0 bytes) in Unknown on line 0

That was a setting in the mysql setup Billy. We are running on a different server that I had to reconfigure from scratch. I changed that setting about an hour ago so you shouldn't get that message again.

What other internet related software do you have running Coyote? zonealarm, etc? List anything you think could be remotely related to the net.

Should be all set now. Found a different issue that can cause this and changed that parameter. I was able to replicate the problem by searching on oil and it doesn't do it now.
