search questions

Have we lost the ability to search by specific sub-forum? I cannot see how to search just the 3rd gen forum, or one of those sub-forums. . i keep getting searches that include all forums. . taking too long to find what i need. .

There are a couple ways to do this:

1) Pull the discussion forums menu up to down to search forums. Then click on the "search single content type" tab and you'll see the search in forums list there which will allow you to search in specific sub forums. Doing it this way is very similar to the old search function.

2) You can also go into the forum you want to search in and on the upper right just above the list of threads you'll see a "search forum" link - click on that and it will search inside of that forum and any sub forum of that one. You can also click on the advanced search there and that will take you to the same search as in #1
