I have tried several times to search the archives for articles that I know have been discussed( aux fuel tank install, fuel plate install,) but never have any luck. what amI doing wrong. Maybe this new system doesn't have a search feature.

I've had the same difficulty. Can't seem to find anything. Topics I know exist cannot be found. What's the problem?

The boards were "pruned" so topics older then 6 months are not there at the moment. Ken is working on making that information "read only" as some sort of archive.

What are you searching for and what words are you using? Most of the time its the combination of words thats limiting you, just gotta know what to use.

Try to describe what your looking for and I will see what I can come up with.

The Search feature is good if your like me and researching everything, but when you want to refine it, it can be tough... .

I wanted to revisit some of the many posts that dealt with the fuel gauge sending unit. I used "fuel", "gauge" and "fuel and gauge," but to no avail. Also wanted to review some the excellent articles on clutch replacement, but the word "clutch" produced two threads that had nothing to do with clutch; in fact, I couldn't even find the word clutch in the post. Also, I would like to review some of the posts dealing with the dowel pin, but haven't tried yet since I had not luck with the other searches. What am I doing wrong?

You are probably searching in the wrong forum. The default for searches right now is the Main Category. It's in the lower left hand side of the search form. The default was switched to that because searching all the forums puts a strain on the server and contributes to the "Server is busy" messages. There will be a server upgrade put in place soon that should eliminate that issue. Until that time it will be best if you try to avoid using the "Search all open forums" option unless absolutely necessary. Also the default for dates is a month ago and you can change that to any date. For the two searches you were trying I would try searching in the 2nd gen, 24v engine, 12v engine, and products forums. I did a search on "fuel sending" in the 2nd gen forum searching all dates and came up with 26 matches, 8 on the first page were in regards to the fuel sending unit.
