Does anybody know how to deactivate the seatbelt dinger? I use the seat belt when on the road, but around the farm, getting in and out all the time the thing never shuts up.

There are instuctions in the owners manual on how to reprogram this, but I tried at least 10 times and it wont change. You can supposedly have the dealer do it too.

The instructions in the owner's manual do work, but I discovered that while sitting in the seat, I couldn't buckle and unbuckle the belt fast enough.

I finally did it while standing in the open doorway, leaning over the seat.

If you still can't get it to work, just buckle it before you get in and sit on the belt. Do that and you don't get the little red icon flashing at you. :-laf

Try this thread: seat belt dinger Maybe the trick is to try it buckling slower or faster. I wait until the seat belt light goes off and it seems to work. Good luck.

Quick fix

I know the instructions are in the manual, but... here's the easy "quick fix" I use when I'm making short trips: I shorten up the middle seat belt, run it under the center armrest and leave the male end hanging right by the driver's belt receiver. I just snap it in and presto... no ding or dash light!

Anyone know if this works for the 02's and the seatbelt light?
I don't think that it applies to the 02's or the seatbelt light - only disables the continuous chime.

The manual works... but it needs a bit of clarification. I think the manual says to unbuckle/buckle at least three times in a given time period. I found that it didn't work if I unbuckle/buckle more that three times... three times ONLY seemed to be the key. Good luck!
