I have a standard cab and my concern is if the seat belt retractors are working properly. I read the shop manual and there's sveral pages of info on the extended cab models. I can pull the belt as hard and fast as possible and it does not 'catch'. I checked for any sensors or electrical clutches and can't see any. Will one of you standard cab owners try the same and let me know what you find? Thanx in advance.

They have a fulcum that sets the tension on the belt. Go down a lonely road a hit the brakes slightly over a normal stop and you will not be able to pull the belt until the truck has stopped. Some are a little more touchy than others but they do work when you need them.
