When I purchased my 2013 mid summer I was in a crunch. Was not able to wait for the truck that would have been perfect. I love the truck but it has cloth seats, I need to protect those stock seats but do not want just a plain cover. Anyone have suggestions?

I got some nice black/gray covers for my 2013 from cabelas. They are made by ruff tuff I think and have a cabelas outfitters logo on them. Not cheap but look good and fit very well. I have a bench up front and covers for all seats were around $700.

Thanks for all the information, I would not be able to actually pay money for camo seat covers, not my style. But there are other choices.

Make sure both front driver and passenger seat back rest air bags don't come out from the outside edge, You can't block them or they won't inflate and save your face !!!!

I would look at wwet okole and coverkings. Both are neoprene and come in a variety of colors. I have had both. The wet okoles were a bit higher end as far as construction and lasted me about 200k before I repalced them with the coverkings. Which I got through costco online for about half of the wet okoles cost. They were on sale. My original cloth seats still looked pristine. The cloth anyway. The foam underneath needs some work as it has broken down some but that is not hte fault of the seatcover.

I put on real sheepskins (custom) when I bought my Laramie in '07. They have all the usual benefits of skins, No cold on those frigid mornings and terrific durability. Expensive but in the long run a fine fit and always comfortable. I haven't done anything except vacuum once in a while.

I just had my truck re-upholstered. The only reason why I wanted a Laramie was really due to the leather interior, but the Big Horn package actually had everything I wanted. They found a Bighorn with cloth interior and offered to have it re-upholstered with Katzkin. While they were at it, I changed the seats and center bench back rest console from Grey to Black, so I have a black/grey two tone interior. Really sharp and unique :). Luckily, the Bighorn already had butt warmers so I didn't need them to add that. It only cost me an extra grand to do front and rear seats along with the console pad and cupholder trim.

I went with covers from Headwaters in Three Forks Mt. I guess he used to for for Marathon a while back. I found that he was a little less expensive and had more options. Does great work and you can call and talk directly to him.
I think that it ran me around $500 for both front and back for my '12 Mega Cab. All the seat and carpets are covered including behind the back seats. When I first put them in I was not so sure about them, but since having them in since about May of this year, I am sure glad I did so. They keep the crumbs out of the vent holes in the leather seats and are easy to clean. I was also concerned that the vented seats would not still function, but I have found they still work fine, just not quite as much air flow as without them (no surprise there).

I bought some relatively cheap canvas ones from Covercraft. I think they were about 200-300 bucks and I love them for protecting the seats.

The canvas ones are not waterproof but are great for the occasional dropping of food while driving and eating or a light volume drink spill. Great after a day of hunting and fishing with dirty clothes or with the dog. Also are washable which is good with kids.

I ordered covers from Precision Fit, Microfiber, supposed to be here this week. I will give a full report when I get them installed.

I want to eventually do the Katzkins leather interior on the new truck. I found a shop near me that will put in a set, starting at about $1400+ for two rows, but for now I am just going to put seat covers in.

I am leaning towards Neoprene covers. Costco has the custom fit CoverKing covers that you can order online and the price seems very good. I priced out a set of neoprene ones for my truck and it was only $278 for both rows, with all console and head rest covers, map pockets, etc. This is significantly better than the other prices I was getting online.

Plus, Costco will accept returns without question for 2 years. My understanding is that usually there are no returns for custom covers bought elsewhere..

On the Costco/CoverKing site they also have a mesh and leather option. It looks like the neoprene is considered the most durable and waterproof. And I've read that they have the best fit/finish of the three. I am just wondering about how it would hold up to the dog's claws... My 80 Lb Choc Lab likes to ride up front with me when the wife is not with us. I keep her on a restraint system so she stays on her side. I could throw down a towel when she is there I suppose.

Anyone have experience with neoprene covers and pets?

Thanks,

Scott

^^ You'll be fine with the neoprene. I'm a fan of the Wet Okle, but I think they're all pretty close. My first neoprene covers lasted about 300K miles.

Did you order these? How do you like them?
Looks like my cheap self is gonna have to pony up and buy a set. The beach towel with a cutout over the head rest is wore out, and don't stay put for nothin

I’m not a fan of neoprene. Much like a wetsuit there a high friction material. Almost sticky. I find them hard to clean. Especially dog hair, of which I rake enough out of my truck each month to knit a sweater. I like my Headwaters.
