Seat Cushion foam replacement

Has anyone heard or tried Katzkin for seat covers? I was going to get some but didn't know if the seat belt being in the seat would be a major PITA. I saw these on a Trucks! show a while back.

I have the air bag lumbar support in my truck - the factory one. The problem was, it hit me too high on my back. I needed something around the belt line. I installed the Rostra air bag lumbar support in conjuction with the stock one. Put it down lower where I needed it. Now I have dual lumbar supports. Works real well for me!

With 200,000 miles on my Dodge Ram CTD and at least 40% of that in the dirt of the Baja Peninsula, my seat wore out with my big ass bouncing up and down pretty quick... we took care of that problem and placed the most comfortable seat ever made in The Desert Tank... Mastercraft Suspension Seats... same as used in off-road desert racing environment.

I refoamed my driver's seat right after the article came out and it still feels great. This was a great improvement.



We're going to do my friends truck in the very near future. He's not a TDR member and was unaware that this was possible.

went to a upholstery shop here in town and the good lady there told me I would probably be better off using carpet padding and glueing it together to get the desired height! I bought some 8 lb pad from Home Depot and glued 4 - 1/2" pieces together with 3M adhesive. I'm gonna search for a scrap piece of carpet tomorrow and do the install on Saturday.

The seat cushion foam upgrade is complete... . Took all of an hour to do and man what a difference. I am sitting up alot higher in the seat and the cushion actually feels like it has foam in it!! The true test will be on my next long trip, but so far I am extremely pleased with the difference.
