Seat in Reg. cab

I have a Reg cab. 92 with a 5 speed and I was wondering if a bucket seat set out of a 95 1500 auto will fit. If it will fit will the center console go far enough back that the shifter will not hit it when shifting in to 1,4,R. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Bucket Seats

Most of us that have swaped our bench seat for buckets have gone with aftermarket seats. There should be no reason that a later bucket could be made to fit as long as the dimensions are suitable. On my installation, I fabricated a mounting frame that uses the original mounting holes for the bench seat and has the bucket seats fastened to it. The center seat is folding with storage and is fixed in position. The center seat was positioned with the seat back lined up with where I have the drivers seat adjusted. The position of the center seat in relation to the gear shift was a concern that I had when first working out the seat mounting frame. What I did was to make cardboard templates and positon them on the floor of the truck to work out the seat positions and then placed the seats on top of the template to check how they would line up.
