Seat recline lever broke off

I'm going to try this again. Has anyone come up with a solution other than buying the entire assy for 200 dollars to repair that cheap plastic lever that breaks off if you hit it with your butt jumping out of the truck?

Have you checked at a salvage yard for a used seat part? You might even look into a 4th gen set of seats as an upgrade over your old seats, purchased used from a salvage yard. Especially if the seat part you need is over $200 new.

used ebay seats run around 300. I think I'm gonna do a repair.

From what I have read about the 4th gen seats they are far more comfortable than the old 3rd gen seats are. So, for approximately, per what you have stated you get a far better seat and eliminate an issue that you are having with the cheap seat lever.
Just saying why I would buy the 4th gen seats if I was going to spend $200 on an lever assembly and up grade to a better and more comfortable seat.

But I'm trying to reduce cost so I will fix the lever. I am a machinist and have the ability to make it so it won't break again.
