I'm shopping for some seatcovers for the beast and I'm hoping i could get some input from everyone.

I'm either thinking the Mopar (~$140) covers or covers made by Elegant (~$100). I'd like to stay in this price range and am open to suggestions.

I don't think the Mopar's cover the console portion of the middle seat and I'm not sure if the Elegant's do either. I'd like one that does because with the console down and dirty clothes it's easy to dirty up the side of the console.

Anyway, anybody own either of these, or something they'd like to recommend? Or maybe someone can suggest an inexpensive way to get a leather seat?

Thanks,
Ryan

Save your $40 and get the ones from Geno's Garage. They cover the center console and they look and wear great. They also have a nice RAM logo on them so it really adds to your front seats!!

I've seen the ones from Geno's and they don't seem to fit real tight (at least in the picture in the catalog they don't). Am I wrong?

Although they do seem to cover the upper portion of the center seat (the console).

Thanks, Ryan

I thought the ones that Genos sold were the Mopar covers. If not, they sure look similar.

I have had the Mopar ones for almost 3 1/2 years now. I like them alot because of there fit and the color matches my interior they also have storage pockets front and back which come in handy and they can be thrown right in the washer and dryer. They also have the cut outs for my electric driver seat controls and lumbar suport.

My two cents

Santa brought me the "Chino" style covers from Geno's this year. I LIKE THEM #ad

Not too difficult to put on and are, (about 2,500 miles of seat time), starting to fit better than when I first put them on.

Comfortable, seem durable, and color match is respectable. I personally could have done without the rams head.

I got mine from the dealer, I love mine, But they do not have a cover on the center backrest, I guess because we have to open the console. They fit great, come off easy for washing.

hey folks - how does the seat covers you have handle the seat belt problem, i. e. is it zippered or what to het the shoulder belt through??????

I got sheepskins. Nice #ad
The shop custom fitted the center console. No skin on the lid. Not much more $ than good fabric ones in the catalogues. Never hot, never cold and no static electricity!

Hey Hammer: The seatbelt needs a 'hole' to go through. No way around it!

On the side of the seat where the electric seat controls are, there are several screws. Remove them and take off the handle and the whole plastic moulding comes off. An adjustable wrench will undo the nut holding on the seat belt. Thread it through the seat cover's hole and re attach.

I stopped by the local dealer and found the cost of the Mopar seat covers are $210 for front and rear. Much more than I expected. Ryan, you mentioned the Mopar's were about $140. Is that for both front and back seats? Where did you buy them?
Anyone else know where to get the best deal?

Thanks!

Scott,
The price of $140 was for the front only. I tried the infamous moparforless.com, but my dealer here in town was the same price. I have yet to get a better price from moparforless.com and I made it a point to tell the guy 3 times that this is a "special" internet purchase, thinking the price would change.

I see you are new here. I'm sure you'll 10 times more than your money's worth with all the info that you can get here. Welcome.

Thanks Ryan. It's amazing how much info is available for us. Now I need to find the time to read it all without letting everything else go to !@#$.

The seat covers have cut outs for the seatbelt, Works nicely.

I paid $188. 10 for mine front & rear, After a 10% discount, Because I bough my Truck from them. I have been told all dealers are independent, So they can set there own price for parts, and accessorys.

It looks like I'm going to purchase the Mopar seat covers, I'm now just trying to find the best price.

I am still concerned about the upper portion of the center seat so I stopped by a upolostery shop today. They told me if I took it out of the truck, they would put a cover on it to match the other seat covers and I'd still be able to open the console. Although I thought $60 was a bit pricey for $5 worth of fabric. The entire set from Geno's I think is only $100.

Maybe I'll have to think about this more. Anybody else have comments on how the Geno's covers fit?

Cooker, my suggestion would be to find an automotive upholstery shop and see if they can make custom covers for you. It all depends on what your standards are I guess - for me the fit on the Mopar covers simply doesn't cut it, and the Geno's look to me like they fit about as well as big garbage bag. I have had custom covers before and I would venture to say it will cost you around $400 to have the front AND back done, but a good set of covers will match well enough in color and fit so tight as to be INDISTINGUISHABLE from the original upholstery.

I'll jump in here on the SeatSavers from Geno's. I finally just got my front seat cover yesterday after it being backordered. The fit, IMO is top-notch. Each "seat" has it's own cover and was easy to put on and wouldn't be a pain to take off and wash. The center seat/console is covered with two seperate pieces. The top/back of the console is not covered, it remains the factory vinyl. The rear seat cover fits as good as the front, and again was easy to put on. I don't know where the "garbage bag" look came from on these covers (maybe Geno's changed manufacturer's?) but these fit like a glove.
Just my . 02

I thought the Geno's looked like the fit like a garbage bag too. At least in the pic on their site and in their catalog.

Custom covers would be nice, and I did find some from Saddleman direct from their webiste for around $210. Maybe I'll call them and check with them, but if the Geno's fit like a glove, or close to it maybe I'll choose those.

Articat, you didn't think the Mopars fit that nice huh?

Decisions, decisions? Thanks for all the help guys.

Ryan

this post is a little dated but can anybody expand on the geno's seat savers? are they just like the mopar covers? mainly- do they have the Ram head logo? and do they fit snug or "like a grabage-bag"? thanks,
