Seats in 3500 chassis cab

Bought a new 12 chassis cab and installed a new aluminum flatbed. Dealer screwed up and we got a plain seat without power adjust or lumbar adjust and they are uncomfortable on a long trip.

Has anyone done aftermarket seats that they are happy with?

Issue 76 or 75 had article about replacing drver's seat in 4th generations. (You can access magazines from Home Page. )

I believe the seats in my '08 chassis cab are identical to the seats in my '06 Ram dually, both are(were) the OEM upgrade seats with the better upholstery and driver electric adjustable seat bottom. I don't know if they are the same as Gen IV but salvage yards have a computer program that identifies interchangeability. If I were in the same predicament as you are I would check with salvage yards to learn if your '12 can use the same seats as earlier Gen IIIs and, if so, if they can find you a set of SLT or Laramie (leather) seats with electric adjustment.

Your best bet will be locating a seat from a wrecking yard a 2010-2012 C&C or a Pickup should work, if it has power, you me be able to get the wire harness with the seat, it should be almost plug and play, the yard may give you something for your existing seat also, just an idea
