Anyone Know where I can get some of those nice comfy lookin captains chairs that everyone seems to have? I want to get rid of my bench seat.

Boy, that one is a tall order. Be prepared to shell out some bucks when you find some, they dont make them anymore. At least I dont think they do. Look in junkyards. Lots of 89-93 Ramchargers also had the bucket seats. Dont be fooled by imitators- the Dodge seats are one of a kind, and more comfy than my mom's Lincoln.

Where do you live? I have the gray ones I took out when I put 2nd Gen seats in? I would give them to you, as I separated them from the mounting base. You would have to fabricate that.

I just about gave mine away when I upgraded to the 2nd gen split bench.

That seat made a big diff for me but your also going to have to fab a base up.

Fabricating the base isn't trivial. I put the front buckets from a '94 Caravan in mine and it was a challenge to modify the base. Outer side of base can be used stock by redrilling floor holes, but inner side has to be sloped to match truck floor. Does have nice power and reclining seats now though.

I had a 2ndGen 40-20-40 seat in my 91, and the somewhat worn buckets that are stock in my 92 are way more comfortable on long trips for me. I'm also 6'2 and about 40# overweight.

Tugboat- have any pics of the seats? I may have a relative swing through and pick them up for you. Or if anyone is going to SOP from your area?

Daniel,

I used to have pics on my gallery. Not sure if they are there. I have no fabrication tools in my garage, so separated the seats from the "box" floor mount bracket. The slide rail on both Gen seats were same width, so I just bolted new ones to old mount. Arm rests were in rough shape, and are removed, but I still have them.

I am about 30 minutes east or south of where I-77 and I-81 cross near Wytheville, Virginia.
