Archived Second Generation Front Coil Springs

Hey everyone,



My truck really needs some front springs. It is starting to get pretty bad.

I have a 96, 2500, long bed, Reg. cab, 2wd, with AC.

All I can find springs for is the model without AC. I really don't know if it makes any difference, and I was hoping someone could tell me whether or not I could use them because I can't find any to fit my exact model of truck.



Any advice would be appreciated.

You need to go by your GVWR and not whether if it has AC or not. . Look on your driver's side door, and see what your GVWR is. . I am guessing it's 8800 lbs.

There are MANY different spring options. Your build sheet will give the spring codes

I didn't figure that it mattered, but everywhere I called seemed to think it was very specific to the spring. I'll just order the springs listed for the 8800 GVW without AC and it should work.

Look in the phone book for a local spring shop and talk to them. Tell them what you have and what you want and they will build you a far better spring then you can buy out of the box.

I have the original Fronts off of my truck with Bilstien Shocks. I don't know if they would work on yours because you have no signature. Is youtr truck a 4WD?
