Secret go fast trick revealed

Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

Is this thing made out of gold?

Acceleration

Overheard this today from a NASCAR team. Can see where it could be adapted to our trucks;) They lowered the floorboard one inch and wah lah, now you can mash the go peddle farther and go faster:D :D :D :)

My absolute favorite go-fast trick was posted on this site a few years ago. A guy had it "all knowed up". He was going to weld a shaft onto the front of the fan pulley and extend it out through the grill and run a big propeller on the front of the truck, this would of course necessitate a "rotating seal" through the radiator, intercooler etc. , but he had that all figured out too. He was also going to mount smaller propellers on the driveshaft for good measure!

That is an awful amount of work, when all you have to do is put some performance stickers on your fenders and windows. 15-20hp guaranteed increase per sticker. Double that if it is metallic or chrome.

Sworn documentation by any street racing ricer!

That b****** told my secret. Instead of dropping the floor pan, I just bent it in under the go pedal from repeted WOT runs. :D

As far as the prop goes, Wheaties has on on the back and it definitly breaks up the wind drag formed behind the tailgate. Hey matt, would you say it was worth about 2-300 gnat power?

When I ad the Chrome 6" turndown on the exhaust I am going to throw it on the dyno. I am sure that will give me enough to get over 600hp. :D :D

gnat power... I love it! What's the exchange ratio? Picture a horse pulling at one end, the rope unbraided at the other with each strand attached to ten human hairs, each attached to a gnat. Figure about 100,000 gnats to 1hp? Course the ratio used to be lower in the bad old days, back in the Jurassic a single gnat could carry a horse off by itself.

I usually tell people the prop is a dynamic ground plane extender for the CB. But you could say it does dual purpose. With all the torque generated by the Vornado thingies in the intake and the exhaust, I need counter-rotational forces to keep the truck from ground looping when I mat it.

Weaties...

Why not put on twin props..... 600 gnat power... also will help keep the truck straight and make backing into your parking place easier.....

:D

ps. . make sure they are counter rotating... .

And think of how more efficiently you could Juliene fried potatoes too.

Bar none THE #1 Go fast secret is to get rid of that pesky air filter alltogether. C'mon a motor doesent care what the air going in smells like!

#2 would have to be LED Washer Bulbs!!!!

I am going to put in High Performance Muffler bearings this weekend and that alone will cut 1/2 second off my 1/4 mile times :D

Be sure to use your left-handed monkey wrench when installing those muffler bearings. I tried using a right-handed one once and it was really difficult.

Make sure to drain your intercooler fluid and refill it with synthetic...

also, adding 25 psi of helium to your tires will make the truck lighter.

Back in the day, pinching off the return fuel line with some vice-grips worked wonders on an old 262 powered International. The smaller version vice-grips found at many of todays finer auto parts stores (home depot, lowes) fit nicely under the hood of my 03. Just be sure to find the right line. This simple mod will give you seat of the pants performance with a touch of chrome:eek:

All for under $10. 00:D
