Any advice is welcome on installing a basic alarm on a 2018 3500 Tradesman C/C with manual door locks and G56 trans. I am looking for motion detection and maybe interior light draw to prevent engine cranking tied to circuit on clutch pedal. Accompany this with a alarm siren. Trying to keep interface with this system very limited and separate from rest of truck operation.
thks

@RMBnMd, This site https://www.the12volt.com/ , has some simple and basic setups you could due with relays and switches. You could get a relay box of Ebay and wire in relays for starter bypass, clutch safety bypass. This would allow a switch to complete the circuit to operate as normal. With relay use, switches can be micro in size, so easy to hide! You may also want to look into getting AlfaOBD software for you rig. This software allows access to computer in truck to change settings, turn things on and off. You might even be able to turn on the VTA (vehicle theft alarm) which is built into the BCM. I know in mine, all trim levels are in BCM and was able to enable the VTA. This site helps with AlfaOBD, https://www.ramforum.com/threads/alfaobd.123982/. Hope this helps.

@RMBnMd, With AlfaOBD, I was able to turn off the panic alarm which I was allows hitting! You're not to far from me if you would want to see what AlfaOBD can do before you invest in it. PM me if interested. Have the bypass cable that's needed for your truck.
