2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Security system lock horn problem

Horn problem, after checking all the fuses and relays the horn still does not make a sound when the buttons are pushed on the remote door lock key fobes, however the horn works fine from the steering wheel--2001Ram 2500SLT--Has anyone fixed this one yet?--Toolmandoug

There are two wires going to the horn itself on my 01 I am pretty sure one is for the remote lock and one is for the actual steering wheel horn. Might check the connections. Also check your owners manual some vehicles the alerts for door lock are programmable between lights flashing horn honking or both.

He KevinO, went to the service manual, that led me back to the owners manual and their I found the section about enableing and disableing the keyless entry system and that was the cure, also I took the transmitters all apart and gave them a good cleaning-- end of problem. Thanks for you help--Doug
