Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) See, a stock clutch will hold!

Ok maybe not on the street for long but I want and dynoed at the Houston Dyno day and put down 369. 6Hp and 867. 7Tq with the stocker. The truck only made 33# of boost and I can see 39-40 on the street so It wasn't loading up and we could slightly smell the clutch, but it held ok. Thats 150hp and 390ft lbs over stock so I'm suprised. A new Southbend OFE goes in next month and I wouln't be supprised to see 10+more hp after the clutch instal... Happy with my numbers!

Mine held in towing situations for about a year and a half - but now it's time for a SBC CON OFE...



AND, a bit of difference between a short blast on a dyno, and a 5 mile 7% grade towing a trailer!

Stock clutch

I did 405/895 for almost a year, when i pulled it to put the OFE in it realy didnt look that bad, i still have it as a back up. Now that was w/ the box on 5/5 but it was there a lot more than it wasn't lol
