Are Tire Fires tough to put out?

sorry, that was me. I went to test and tune at muncie the other day and tried my fast launch in 2wd and burnt the tires off.

Very hard to put out. A big tire dump somewhere ( CA? ) burned for months. They were going to let it burn out so eventually they had to use bulldozers and water and foam to get at the fire. The entire fire ground was still something like 2,000degrees. Which was a challenge to the fire fighters.
