just type in your address and zoom in on your house or anywhere you want. pretty neat... .

When the link comes up, you might see a neighborhhod ... the grey roof with what looks like a long whitething at the end of the roof... . that is my 5th wheel trailer next to my house..... no truck in the driveway, it is at work... . found that too.

On Google, how do you set it so you can see the houses, buildings etc... ?

Thanks, Ron
go to www.maps. google.com type in your address, and then in the upper right corner you can click on satellite, or hybrid. I like the hybrid mode because it still draws and names the streets over the sat map.

Yeah! Google Earth is flat slick. I like to "fly" from Moran to BZ just to check up on the house and see if the wife is home. :-laf

However, I don't advise doing it on company time because it is a bandwidth hog and the net nazis will be knocking on your cubicle for unauthorized software. :( ;)

Yes to be fully appreciated it needs to be on a high speed connection. Funny though all the images seem to be the same, except for "zillow.com" which has a more recent version of both my house (outside the bay area) and my jobsite (in the bay area) seems like all the other image services are using the same data. Wonder where zillow gets their data.

BTW. zillow.com is a very interesting site to look at not only for aerial photos, but to contemplate the value they calculate your house, and see what the neighbors house is worth. .

Cheers,Greg

Here is the link to zillow. . http://www.zillow.com/

It is fun to play with. check out some areas of beverly hills... :-laf

Why is it I can never see my house. I live in MD and a little rural but not bad. When I zoom to where my house is supposed to be it is real blurry. The house has been there for about four years now and it displays the roads ok. Maybe the pictures are real old. I am using a good high speed connection.

They don't map the rural areas to the same resolution as the urban areas.

my picture is over 8 years old, lol, The fence line was moved the summer before i went into 6th grade. I am now a sophomore in college. There is a shed, several vehicles around now that weren't then, and the pool hasn't been around for at least 3 years now.

The map on my house is at least 5 years old.

It shows woods around my house. I've had 4 or 5 new houses go up around me in the last 5 years that arent shown on the google.
