Lately ive been seeing more and more 3rd gen dodge diesels here in northwest illinois. Makes me happy that people are ditching the ferds for dodges. Everytime i see a 3rd gen i wonder if its TurboKidd :). I give thumbs up to everone i see most give me this look  . Even since ive been driving the astro van ive been giving thumbs up to them :D ...

They are all over here in ARIZONA which makes me HAPPY Just nice to see alot of DODGE TRUCKS around. The Third Gen Trucks are really nice trucks Even the FORD AND CHEVY GUYS WILL ADMENT TO IT. (WELL SOME DO)

I know what you mean, every since I started hanging around this site I been doing the same - to CTDs. Unfortunately, I've noticed a change in my western hospitality attitude. Use to be customary to nod or wave (more like lifting fingers from the steering wheel since it wouldn't be cool to do the parade style from-the-elbow wave). Of course this was ONLY to pickups and school buses. Cars are ignored since they are piloted by women, small children, or middle-aged guys with gold chains suffering from MAC.

Now I just acknowledge CTDs unless the other guy acknowledges first. Ferds and Chebbies get either the knowing sad head shake or a slight curled lip sneer. I use to spat in disgust, but the ice build up on my windows during the winter became unsightly and made pulling out of intersection some what challenging

Seems an even mix of CTDs and PSD Pooper Duties around here. Some areas lean heavier toward one or the other. Duramaxes are camparatively uncommon, usually the elderly hooked to a monstrous m-home. Where as the CTDs/PSDs tend to be hooked up with middle aged working stiffs. Wonder why? :)

Warning label: This is not a scientific study merely IMHObservations. :p

some guy in a 6. 0 ford dually went by me and when we went passed him again i gave him the thumbs down then when he drove passed again he gave me the confused look. . lol. .

More rant:

MAC = middle age crisis, but I guess its really suppose to be mid-life crisis MLC.

In truth, I use to get sort of peeved when I'd give the high five to other CTDers with no response. Then I got to thinking that there is a million of these rigs out there and only 20K TDR folks (although it didn't stop me from giving the high five before I joined TDR). Therefore there is only a . 02% chance you will be waving at a fellow TDR member assuming all the rigs are still running.

Besides, many of the CTD trucks probably live in areas where either it could be dangerous to wave at folks or worse yet they might think you are hitting on them

Anyway to make a short story long, my approach nowadays is to wave and not even look to see if it is acknowledged. That way I don't have to be peeved and life is good.

EDIT :

Uhh. . excuse me ol' trail dope... . thats 2% not . 02%. You'd better fix that quick before one of these math geniuses spots it... like klenger, neh.

Yeh, maybe so, but at least I know which end of the mule you stick the snaffle bit... so there. :p

They seem to be the "Truck Of Choice" in Grants Pass Oregon. When Im in Calif every month, I always get asked if I want to sell mine, since its a 555/304 HO 2004. They are not "smog friendly" in California. At home here in Oregon, I drive my Cummins when Im too lazy to uncover the Corvette! I love my truck!

I've seen a number of 3G's but not many cummins trucks, still more Fords. :( Still I think I'm going to break my neck every time I see the big "C" on a 3G. :)
