I can't tell for sure, but I think I have a fairly strong engine shudder when I take my foot off the gas during deceleration from about 20 mph to stop. At first I thought it may not be my engine and I am still uncertain if it is the engine but I am leaning to engine for now...
It happened to me today for the first time and regardless of cold or hot. I drove about 25 miles and it happened to me when I first left my house to my destination. I was going to Lowes so I went in there for about 1/2 hour got back in to the truck and it happened to me again on the way out of the lot. But when I got home (another 25 miles) it stopped so right now I am perplexed and am just sending out some feelers to others.
It seems to happen with foot off the gas and at 20mph or less and coasting until stop. At highway speeds lifting foot off the gas and deceleration causes no noticeable issues.

I doubt it's the engine, as it is not fueling during deceleration. I would look at your U-joints and hanger bearing, if equipped.

I would say a u-joint. They do some strange things. Just doing a visual may not show you anything. They usually go dry. There were lots of threads on here, try a search and see what you find.

Thanks guys I believe you are correct, will take it to the shop and see what they find.

I tried searching before posting but didn't find any results maybe I need lessons on searches.
