back when I worked on cars for a living, I experienced DW on a late 70's Capri that had rack and pinion steering a McPherson struts. replacing the rack solved that little issue. It's not just a truck thing, just the right combination of the wrong things.

For those in the know about the DW, I use my truck (3500 DRW, 4x4 QC) primarily to tow our fifth wheel RV. Does the DW happen in every truck at some time or another and if so, what can be done to prevent it. The thought of my rig doing the DW while heading down the highway at 60 or 65 mph w/ the RV in tow is a bit unnerving, particularly on those highway with construction and little room for movement within a lane.

Other question is were they the H2 take offs or did you get them new from a tire dealer?

I'm fighting with it right now. Mine are the 315 bfg AT H2 takeoffs. I rotated my tires and so far that seems to have done the trick. Right now I'm just trying to figure out what the problem is for sure on my truck since it seems there is a laundry list of potential causes.

Had the DW at 80 mph on I-85. Scared the *#@% out of me at the semi behind. Went home and checked the lug nuts as I had the tires rotated that day. They were okay so I went back out on I-85 and hit the same bump and it did it again. Did several passes and got the DW everytime when speed was above 65.

Went to a local 4x4 shop and they sold they knew exactly what the problem was and sold me a new set of shocks and steering stabilizer. Didn't help worth a #%*!.

The following weekend I check the air pressure and found all four tires at 45psi. Apparently the idiot at tire store decide to let some air out. Put the fronts back to 55psi and the rears to 50 psi and went back out on I-85. No DW at any speed and it has not returned.
