Swamp cooler's are the Devil

OK Guys, this is weird. Our second car is now a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo—that's important. We have found that opening rear door windows (only) generates some sort of subsonic pressure pulse throughout the car. You cannot hear it, but it disrupts conversation, hearing the radio, and can be physically uncomfortable to the ears. It happens from 40 - 60 mph, and is suppressed by opening front windows or sticking an arm out! Anyone with such a beast encounter this, and what modifications helped? Signed, soon to be deaf!!

It's not just those Jeeps. At work we have a 4-door Chevy 1 Ton about 98 vintage, and it does the exact same thing. The thing that we found how to stop it was, to either not open up both back windows, or to have the front window open as well. It is really a nasty sound, it almost sounds like a helicopter is following you down the road about 5 feet above your vehicle.

Wow,coke bottle effect. But very low sound.

It happens with quad cabs, my wifes durango (aftermarket sun roof opening), etc. just crack open a front window. Stops it immediately.

Annoying, but not dangerous.
