I'll lift it so 35's fit and look good.

April Fools, I know, but this is a funny fact:

GM dealers have been directed to not even diagnose Allison transmission problems if the tire size on the truck is not stock. I had a GM dealer tell me this when I test drove the truck.

I'm glad I made the right decision. I don't know what I was thinking test driving a chevy???

Har-har-hardy-har-har...

What mods did you do to it. Was it the factory's fault.

NONE, ZERO, ZIP, ZILCH, NADA which, by coincidence, is the equal of GM customer service... NONE.

By the way, when is April fools? :p

Whew! Crappy seats :-laf

If the prices were the same I would have bought a Duramin. I am glad I didn't make that mistake.

The more I learn about the Cummins the more I love my truck.

Almost had me until I got to the LOOKS BETTER part!

I get the same questions asked all the time. "Why did you buy a Dodge?"

I did not buy a Dodge, I bought a Cummins. The Dodge came with the motor.

I am sure everyone here will follow the Cummins if another manufacturer pics them up.

I do like the Chevy interior. I have a Denali here at work that I use to take customers out to lunch and drive from jobsite to jobsite. The interior comfort is top notch, but quality is lacking big time!!

The color/paint or what ever you call it is pealing off the dash and center console. The heated seats never work. The CD player buttons break if you sneeze on them. It has good power, but only gets 11 MPG. It’s had a trans replacement, a new T case, and a whole new wiring harness for the motor. Fuel pump and 6 new injectors.

If it was mine I would not be able to afford to drive it. Its cost the company a little over 12 g's in repairs the last year.

Ya gotta love the "one burned out running light" that every cheby on the road is sporting!! :-laf

I think the Dodge style is hands down better the Ford and almost anything is better looking then a Chevy(after 02)The Chevys only have one front running light and almost EVERTIME I pass or pull up next to a FORD I catch them looking my truck over or craning their neck to look as I go by. I want a tag that says "I CAUGHT YOU LOOKING". My wife gets a hoot out of that. She say darn that Ford diesel driver going to the other way is craning to look. I think the 6. 0 owners are in denial.

I pretty much new it was an April Fools joke when you said,

"Besides we all know that you can't out pull a chevy. "

How many of the sled pulling events are won by Chevy's??? :-laf

I like my whole truck, bumper to bumper. I don't think that any part of a Ford or Chevy would convience me to trade. Certainly not one of those new-fangled 5 speed autermatic transmissyon thingys.

Thats really funny because a guy stopped by my dodge today and asked how I liked the 2005, thought he was going to cry as he looked it over, said he had Dodge Cummins for years then decided to try a Duramax with the Allison and his words" I have been sorry since the day I pulled the first time". He says as soon as he can afford it he will be back to Dodge. You see we both pull heavy 5ivers all year long and althought his will pull it, the transmission is not as good as advertised and the the cab rides and looks more like a car than a truck. I walked around the campground today and took a poll, 17 Dodges 2 GMs, 3 Fords, so guess I have the right truck. Hope you are not sorry with the move to GM, good luck.

That would be great if you put a frame lift on a Dmax? Then you could stand next to it and hose the top of the frame off. I know mine is rusting because its all hidden up under the body :-laf

.

can't blame you

I have had and 03 that had no power and could not be fixed. traded for and 04. 5 and it has lots of warrenty work to be done. Just not built very well. I wish I would have never gotten rid of my 98 12valve It pulled as good as the 04. 5 and got alot better mileage.
