Competition 1 3/8" input upgrade for 6 speed?

Greg Houg / Comp461's Truck

Greg's truck is a real race truck, and shows the "battle marks" of a lot of on track testing the R&D like our car... He is getting it figured out...

Scott, would you say the majority of the high horsepower diesel stuff there was Cummins? I stopped into a truck accessories place today and the owner was at SEMA this week. He seemed to be a big Ford guy (had two lifted Fords outside) and was wondering if Cummins was bigger there than anyone else, venders, Cummins reps, etc, etc.

Nick

The "white Ford" of David Lott's was there, (11. 72 115 MPH) but all of the real fast competition stuff was Cummins.

It is so hard to compare the "Street" trucks to the race trucks. Maddog's 10. 59 12V Cummins in the Ford showed up viviting at the NHRA national Drags, and he was coming back for SEMA and then hanging around for the weekend.

As far as vendor stuff, most all comes for the Cummins first, and then Ford and GM next. Maybe the Cummins is easiest. The D-Max stuff is really getting popular.

Just the driver, recently hired, specializes in waxing and polishing. You know how hired guns are, all talk, no tech. All hat, no cattle. All fluff, no substance. Too bad the guy doesn't take the time to do something of substance, like build a sanctioning group to help all of us diesel racers. Maybe call it DHRA, or something...

(Eric, did I get you?) HA!

I was going to type something like,""Putz", must have to be on your resume to be a driver. "

But I better not. ;) :D :-laf

Sbentz, Being one of the pioneers with a low budget in Diesel rails, carries a lot of water around here. We won't lose respect or forget you, just because there is a big budget rail that MAY blow your doors off. (if you had doors. )

We still want to hear about your expriences!

And, I'll be the first to clap you on the back, when you dust that Indiana ROOKIE!

Nice words, thanks.

Trust me, our goal is to hang on and keep going as fast as our budget allows. Everyone thinks we have $$$ from Cummins. Not so. Some parts and pieces and a little back door tech help.

Yes, we will be out trying to hit the big 7 as soon as we can. 200? We will leave that for Eric.

Sbentz don't let the big bucks chase you out. The little guy still get's my vote and recognition for their work. The no expense limit trucks are OK but the small operations are a lot more fun to follow and root for.

Best of Luck

Bruce

Yea Scott you got me. Thanks for letting us hang out at your display during LVMS. I appreciate you stopping by the booth. The diesel industry was this year's buzz at SEMA, let's hope it continues.

As far as budget's are concerned, I don't want it to take away from the hard work and dedication it took for the crew chief Andrew and engine builder Kent Crowder to make that engine look and run the way it does. Thanks to everyone that stopped by the booth, it was an honor to have met and talked with you.
