2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission semi wheels?

I am curious about putting semi wheels on my 00' dually nv5600.



Where is the best place for adapter plates? and also rims/tires?

I would love to find a used kit, is that even an option?



I'm not very educated on this topic yet, so dont hold back basics.

Rickson wheels makes 19. 5" wheels that look decent for these trucks. I have always wanted to buy as set, but they are expensive, and I have heard horror stories about their service.

Semi Wheels

I purchased 6 22" wheels and adapters from Tennessee Wheel and Tire. The guy's name I think was Trevor. I called several places and decided on Tennessee because the customer service over the phone was better. The wheels arrived and the boxes were pretty beat up, but the wheels were fine, no scratches. I was ordered the adapters from him, but he just ordered them from Arrowcraft and had them shipped to me separately. I haven't installed them yet, because now I'm saving for tires. Other places you can check are American Force, and there are others if you check the internet. The instructions advise that you replace the stock wheel studs. So I found them at Napa for $4. 10. I called Dodge they wanted $24. 48 for one wheel stud! I can't wait to get tires so I can see what they really look like on the truck.

Do you tow or tow Heavy? Are these things just for looks?. . Lots of money for just that. .



I have the Ricksons 19. 5" Rims and 245/ 70R 19. 5 Tires... these are "F" Rated, 12 ply... . About $325/tire... For Forged Aluminum Rims you are looking at $400/ Rim... These tires are rated at 4080# @ 95 PSI. The tire size listed above is like a 285/75R 16" in Diameter but skinnier in the tread. and stiffer ride. . A 22. 5" Tire will be even rougher... I don't know who this is or if this truck is still around but I have always thought it looked REALLY nice. The owner did a nice job with a small lift, new fenders. This truck is in my top ten ever! Just giving you an idea of big truck tires on a Dodge Ram.

I've put 19. 5 tires and wheels on all my trucks for the lower cost per mile. . I found with a F550 that we'd get 100K miles with the steer tires and close to 90K miles on retreads on the back... We don't rotate them... . and the 225/70/19. 5" rear retreads run around $150 each and the new front steer tires around $275 each...

So with the high mileage and higher loads we've found this to be the most cost effective tire for our needs... we keep our trucks for 500K miles and all about cost per mile...

All our wheels are plain steel wheels... . with the common blow out issue on 5er's I've just found and purchased a set of 19. 5" wheels for my 5er to replace the G rated 16" wheels. .
