Does anyone know what size sending unit I need for a transmission temp. gauge and is the factory Dana rear equipped to accept a sensor ? If so, what size. I am guessing that the trans. uses a 1/8 NPT. I know that the replacement Mag Tech cover has a port for the sender, maybe a good excuse to purchase same ?!?
Thanks in advance !!!

1/8 NPT seems to be the standard size for the sensors. Fittings are available to install thise in a larger opening if needed. No the Dana does not have a fitting to mount a sensor.

You can use a 3/4" x 1/8" bushing to mount the sensor in the filler/level hole on stock rear covers. Use the same for NV4500. I use a small SPDT(single pole, double throw) switch to go between the two, works great

Thanks for the replies, gentlemen. I'll give the 3/4 adapter a try.
