About a week or two ago I pulled my IAT sensor to clean it and the contacts. My truck at the time had about 32,000 miles on it, I thought the sensor might look a little black but it didn't. It was a little brown
, looked really clean but slightly burnt brown. Is this normal for a truck with no exhaust brake or fueling bombs ???
After spraying some carb cleaner on the IAT, I cleaned the contacts and covered them in di-electric grease. Put it back in and everything works as it should. I am just wondering if I'm running a little hot ?? EGT's are always in check.
Also is it possible to pull and clean the MAP sensor in the same fashion ? Or do you just clean and grease the contacts ?
