2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Serious Steering pump/box failures

I have had a brash or steering gear failures in the last year and a half. I have replaced the gearbox three times and now it feels like it needs a forth. I have had the dealership do it here in Huntspatch all three times. I added a DSS with 03 trackbar this spring, hoping it would help the problem. Has anyone ever run into this before. I am running 315's but that shouldn't really stress the system. The fronts are inflated to 40psi and the rears are at 25 until I put a load in. My pump is now whining when I turn the wheel. Any suggestions on pump/gearbox replacement? Each time I do it, it is 700 bucks.

keep your tire pressure up at all time it makes it easer to roll and gets your MPG up to where it should be, too low of psi will cause tire ware, and makes it harder to turn, i run mine at 60 psi 5 below max.

check your P/S fluid if it is a little low it will cause a pump whine

the 315's does put more stress on the system

i would adjust the box to the proper specs.

someone on here should have them i do mine by feel,

this it what i do:

if you take the steering shaft off on top of the box there is a lock ring there, remove it and under that is another ring using a hammer and a punch tighten till snug then back it off a 1/4 turn and put it back together

there is also an adjustment on top of the box undo the lock nut and tighten a 1/4 turn at a time and try it, you may have to do this a few times to get it right, do not over tighten it.
