I was just looking at the Chevy website and noticed that they rate the HD 2500 Silverado with the GAS engine and 3:73 rears capable of towing 14,000 lbs but my 2010 Ram 2500 Diesel with 4:10 rears is only rated to pull 12,600?! I don't get it! Maybe I should trade? I know, not nice.
What do you guys think? I pulled my 5th wheel with my truck without issues. Dry weight is 11,900. I'm sure I'm over GCWR which doesn't take much. Axle weight is fine. No problems pulling. Trans temp stayed around 149 and I pulled at 65 mph like it was nothing. Can the numbers be THAT wrong?
