Give NAPA a try. If Chrysler has released it, they can probably get it.
The tensioner arm will most likely fix your problem. It did on my old 1992 model. Haven't had the problem on my 1999 yet. I got the repair part from the dealer for the 1992 - they did the expensive work.
We put the one from Practical Solutions on my sons truck when he changed his belt. I ordered two so I can put one on mine when its time to change my belt. Its obvious how much heaver the one from PS is.
PSD doesn't have the idler. I went crazy trying to find a new tensioner. Finally ended up getting one from Cummins.
Even after the HD pully from PSD, with the stock (80k+ miles) tensioner the belt crawled toward the A/C comperssor after 300 miles. With the new tensioner & HD pully it stayed put for almost 4000 miles then I noticed it had jumped 1 rib toward the A/C - again. I ended up having to install a . 007 feeler gauge between the tensioner and block above the tensioner mounting bolt. There was a slight misalignment (abt . 5 degree guessing) from the A/C pully to the idler. The feeler gauge (shim) did the trick it's still ridding nice & center.
Just one thing that was a darn expensive belt change I think the HD pully was $50, the belt was $30 and the idler was $106 A little tip - keep a spare belt and 3/8 ratchet with you.
Last weekend I changed the belt on my 94 and before I started I noticed the belt was at least two ribs towards the compressor. I put the new belt on and started the truck and it jumped over the two ribs again. Two years ago I had the compressor changed and thought they must have put the wrong pulley or compressor on. Now you guys have me wondering if it isn't something else. The belt rides up on the retaining rib and can't believe the old belt was still ok.
Dodgeboyz, I replaced mine about two months ago, the Cummins # on mine (99) was 3935819 and it cost 101. 00 plus tax. (At dealer it was 160. 00 plus tax and # was 4429254. bg
