Service Air Bag

On my 2015 the truck started as normal, after grid heaters kicked in, and the dash said "Service Air Bag".

After I got to work I shut off the truck and restarted it and the warning did not come up.

Any ideas??

With the recent air bag wiring recalls, I'd take it to the dealer. Could be there are wiring problems in the steering column in yours too. Not to scare you, but that light could indicate a short that could cause the air bag to deploy without a crash.

Stopped in at the dealer to have it checked out.

He said B212D was the code.

It was only on for a few seconds this morning and then it went away.

I can not duplicate the problem so he said if it happens again bring it in and leave it.

He thought it might be the TIPM.

Maybe I'll schedule an appointment later. It's just hard to fix something when it doesn't stay broken.

The RAM trucks have not had a TIPM for a long time. They were a source of electrical problems and were eliminated several years ago.

Good thing it wasn't the tech telling me it needed a TIPM.

When I get it checked out I'll repost.
